Jo was born in Cut Bank, MT on January 24, 1921 to Emil and Stephanie (Schauby) Zuelke. She graduated from Cut Bank High School . In 1940 she met the love of her life, Edward Peterschick and they were married on October 5, 1940. She worked in the Safeway butcher shop while Ed was in the army overseas during WWII. They moved to Canyon Creek and ranched, then later moved to Bynum. In 1955 they moved to the farm and ranch north of Galata where she lived until her death. Ed died in January, 1977. Jo enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, sewing and family geneology. She later started square dancing with the Hills Hoedowners which she thoroughly enjoyed. She is survived by her daughters, Candis and Vicki Peterschick, Elaine (Bill) Running of rural Galata, Deb Peterschick of Chester, Lea Ann (Brad) Hacke and Mary Peterschick of Sun Prairie; a sister, Arleathe(Harper) Jones of Pendleton, Oregon and a brother, Merton Zuelke, Helena. Also surviving are her 5 grandchildren; Loren (Autumn) Running, Shelby, Missy (Tevin) Chilton, Harlowton, Darcy(Josh) Miller, Nooksack, WA, Amanda Hacke, Missoula and Tara Hacke, Seattle, WA and one great-grandchild, Troy Running, Shelby. Jo is preceded in death by her husband, Ed, her parents and four brothers, Earl, Leo, Con and Roy Zuelke. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the Peace Hospice (Shelby), North Toole County Ambulance or the charity of their choice. Click here to send a condolence to the family.
