Craig
Scott Ollinger, 43, a Procurement Inventory Manager for the
Blackfeet Tribe from Browning,
passed away Friday at a Browning Hospital due to complications
from diabetes. A wake is in progress at the Old Eagles Shields
Center. Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13,
at the Little Flower Parish where the funeral mass will be 2:00
p.m. on Wednesday, September 14. Burial will follow in the
Willow Creek Cemetery. Whitted Funeral Chapel is in charge of
arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Jeri
Matt of Browning; mother, Carol Faye
Ollinger of Browning; daughters, Heather
Ollinger, Trisha
Ollinger and
Shaini Carlson all of Browning; sons, Craig Michael
Ollinger and Tyler
Ollinger of Cut Bank; siblings,
Cliff (Sherri) Ollinger of Browning,
Rick (Margie) Ollinger of Seville,
Mike (Anita) Ollinger of Bothell,
WA, Teri (Stew) Horn of Heart Butte and E J
Ollinger of Browning. He is preceded in death by his
father, Clifford “Billo”
Ollinger Sr. and his grandparents.
Craig was born at Browning and
attended schools at Browning, Heart Butte and the
Chemawa Indian School in Salem, OR.
He then received his AA Degree at the
Blackfeet Community College. He had worked for the Town
of Browning, Blackfeet Indian
Writing Company and most recently served as the Procurement
Inventory Manager for the Blackfeet
Tribe.
Craig was a member of the Little
Flower Parish and the United Indian Rodeo Association. He was
the Browning assistant high school basketball coach for the
state champion team during the 2001 – 2002 school year. He
enjoyed being around kids, hunting, doing carpenter work,
basketball and football.
