Myrna
Lee (Gore) Quick, 68, a homemaker from Shelby, died Wednesday,
October 5, 2005 at the Marias Care Center due to pancreatic cancer.
Myrna passed quietly and with little suffering surrounded by her six
children. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday from 11:00 a.m. till
5:00 p.m. at the Whitted Funeral Chapel with a vigil service at 7:00
p.m. at St. William Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be Monday at
10:00 a.m. at the church with graveside services at 3:30 p.m. at the
Hillcrest Cemetery at Denton.
Survivors include her daughter, Danette Quick of Helena; sons,
Curt (Jennie) Quick of Wake Forest Park, WA, Douglas (Debbie) Quick
of Auburn, WA, Gordon (Connie) Quick of Helena, Craig (Laura) Quick
of Great Falls and Kevin (Kathleen) Quick of Richland, WA; sister,
Carol Korpela of Shelby; and brothers, Gary Gore of Spokane Valley,
WA and Larry Gore of Rawlins, WY. She is also survived by twenty-one
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Myrna is preceded in
death by her parents, Clyde & Velma Gore, three infant children, and
her husband, Gordon Quick.
Myrna was born February 7, 1937 at Lewistown to Clyde & Velma
(Jennings) Gore. She grew up in Hobson where she graduated from high
school and then attended Eastern Montana College for one year. She
married Gordon Quick November 19, 1955 in Denton where they made
their home for several years. They moved to Shelby in 1967 where her
husband worked for Montana Power.
She was an avid bridge player and had achieved the status of
Silver Life Master. Myrna also enjoyed sports and playing bingo and
pinochle. Myrna was a member of St. William’s Catholic Church where
she was past president of the altar society. She was also involved
with the Night Owl Bridge Club and the Toole County Democratic
Committee.
