Tyler Edwards, 14, of Jordan, a
former Shelby resident, died Tuesday in a vehicle accident in
Jordan.
The family will receive friends during the visitation from 1
to 7 p.m. today at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Jordan. His
funeral is 10 a.m. Saturday at the VFW Hall in Jordan, with
burial in Pioneer Cemetery. A memorial service is 2 p.m. Monday
at the Community United Methodist Church in Shelby. Stevenson &
Sons and Whitted Funeral Chapel of Shelby are in charge of
arrangements.
Tyler will be dearly missed by his father, Bruce Edwards of
Jordan, Mont.; his mother, Michelle Edwards of Shelby, Mont.;
grandmother Fay Martin of Shelby; his sister, Alyssa Edwards of
Shelby; aunts and uncles Frank and Rose Edwards of Jordan, Marla
and John Hasquet and Michael and Julie Martin of Shelby; and
numerous cousins whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his brother Bryan; grandmother
Virginia on Feb. 12, 2005; great-grandmother Alice Dawes on
March 6, 2005; and grandfathers Fred Edwards of Jordan and Max
Martin of Shelby.
Tyler was born May 10, 1991, in Miles City, Mont., to Bruce
and Michelle (Martin) Edwards. When he was a young child, the
family moved to Ekalaka, Mont., where he attended schools
through the third grade. In June of 2000, Tyler moved with his
mom and sister to Shelby, where he attended Shelby Grade School
and Middle School. He recently moved to Jordan to live with his
dad.
Tyler loved music and played the drums in school. He was very
athletic, with a love of all sports. He tried everything, and
enjoyed them all. He was active in wrestling, basketball,
football, golf, skiing, hunting and shooting sports. Tyler had a
genuine heart, with a love for everyone whom he came across. He
enjoyed visiting with friends and family, and had a smile that
could light up a room.

charity of one's choice.
