Lola Eunice Gibbons Mullaney, age 79, a retired registered nurse from Conrad, passed away Friday at her home due to natural causes. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Pondera Valley Lutheran Church with visitation 1 hour before service time at the church, burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery. Whitted Funeral Chapel in Shelby in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her daughters, Michelle (Mark) Ghekiere, Cindy Mullaney and Tracy Mullaney all of Conrad, and Tammy (Bob) Sherrard of Beaver Dam, AZ; son, Greg (Susan) Mullaney of San Diego, CA; siblings, Lucille Goldsen of Santa Barbara, CA, Nell (Larry) Watterud of Conrad and Charles (Alice) Gibbons of Las Vegas, NV.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, a nephew and two nieces.

She was born June 9, 1927 at Conrad  to Ralph and Lillian (Whitaker) Gibbons, where she grew up and was graduated from high school in 1945.

She then attended MSU received her nursing degree in 1949. She married William Mullaney in July of 1950. She worked for 51 years as registered nurse for St. Mary’s Hospital and the Pondera Medical Center.

Lola was member of the Pondera Valley Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, baking and playing cards.
