Kirk was born Nov. 7, 1949 at
Bremerton, WA. The Family moved back to Montana shortly after where
he lived at home until he was 10, at which time the family moved to
Hot Springs, South Dakota. There Kirk attended school for the
multiple handicapped for several years. The family moved again to
New Mexico then eventually back to Montana where Kirk has been a
resident of the Marias Care Center since 1991.
In spite of Kirk’s
hydrocephalus, he accomplished many skills far beyond his doctors’
expectations. Kirk loved music, the piano, singing, reading,
spelling, telling jokes, and hand work activities.
The family suggests
memorials be given to the Montana Hope Project or the Marias Care
Center.
