Michael L. Miller, 54, of Deming, Wash. , formerly of Kevin, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007 in Seattle due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.  His funeral will be 11 a.m., Thursday, August 9th at the Sunburst Methodist Church .  Visitation will be 1-8 p.m., Wednesday at the Whitted Funeral Chapel in Shelby .  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.whittedfuneralchapel.com

Survivors include his wife Mary Miller of Deming; his mother and step-father, Leroy and Myrtle Meyer of Sunburst; his children, Mark (Marcie) Kuhl of Ferndale, WA, Josh (Darcy) Miller of Nooksack, WA, and Hunter Miller of Deming; his brothers, Sidney Miller of San Jose, CA, Alton Miller of Rawlins, WY, Harvey Miller of Wall, SD, Rodney Miller of Kalispell and Kenny Miller of Great Falls and a sister, Shirley Miller of Sweet Grass. 

Also surviving are his grandchildren, Sarah Jacobs of Great Falls , Jocelyn and Derek Kuhl of Ferndale , WA and Michael L. Miller of Nooksack, WA.  He also is survived by Michael Hesla, James Czech and Jason Miller whom he treated like his sons.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Miller and a brother, Larry Miller.

He was born Oct. 26, 1952 in Shelby to Leonard and Myrtle (Lunda) Miller.  He attended schools in Sunburst and Sweet Grass and served in U.S. Army during Vietnam .  After his discharge from the service he returned to Sunburst and worked in the oil fields. 

He married Mary Wolf on August 16, 1978 in Dodge City Kansas .  They settled in Kevin where he continued to work in the oil patch. 

In 2002, they moved to Phoenix and in 2003 to Deming , Washington , where he worked as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator and so he could be closer to his sons as well.

He was a member of H.O.G., the N.R.A., the Mt. Baker Motorcycle Club, A.M.A., and the Pac-West C.M.C.  He enjoyed hunting, motocross, shrimping, working in his shop and riding his Harley.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
