Terrance (Terry) McGrath, 50, from Shelby and East Glacier, a photographer and trail crew leader at Glacier National Park, died Saturday, May 21, 2005, due to injuries received in a one vehicle accident near Galata.  Contemporary memorial services will be held at 5:30 pm on Thursday, May 26, at the Two Medicine area of Glacier National Park. Terry is survived by his mother, Beverly McGrath of Little Falls, MN; sister, Katie McGrath Larkin of Boulder, CO; nephew Michael Larkin of Boulder, CO.; and his two precious dogs Buddy and Molly as well as with countless devoted friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Jack McGrath; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. SW Sam and Mr. & Mrs. Joe McGrath and a beloved dog Emmy Lou.

Terry was born May 22, 1954 at Amboy, Illinois and grew up in Little Falls, Minnesota where graduated from high school. He then graduated of Bemidji State University at Bemidji, Minnesota in 1977 with a BS in Communications Media.  He worked a news video photographer for an NBC affiliate in Minneapolis, MN and did documentary photography for the U.S. Forest Service in Idaho and New Mexico. He also did freelance photography in Boulder, CO as well as fine arts photography and in 1988 began project work for gallery exhibition and publication. He has worked seasonally as a trail crew leader for Glacier National Park since 1987.

He enjoyed photography, traveling and sports.
