Arlatte Z. Landeen, age 87, a housewife from Shelby , passed away at the home on Wednesday due to natural causes. Visitation is Sunday from 11:00 a.m. till 8:00 p.m. at the Whitted Funeral Chapel. Funeral is Monday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church with burial to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery . Survivors include her daughter, Ardelle (Aaron) Paul of Great Falls; sisters, Esther Jeglum of Gig Harbor, WA, May Hammel of Portland, OR and Elaine Dodge of Bellevue, WA. She is preceded in death by her husband, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. She was born March 11, 1919 at Rhame , ND where she graduated from high school in 1937, after which she moved to Cut Bank where she worked for Buttery’s Food Store in the credit department. She married Fernald Landeen Nov. 9th 1949 at Cut Bank. The couple then moved to Shelby where she worked as a bookkeeper for Bukke Svare accounting firm along with being a housewife. She later worked in the Toole County Treasures Office. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church where she planted the flowers each spring after her husband’s death in 2000. She was also a member of the Elk’s Lodge with her husband. Arletta enjoyed making quilts, crocheting and her cats. Memorials are suggested to the Cascade County Humane Society of St. Luke’s Church.
