Mrs. Kutt died of natural causes Monday, April
17, 2006 at the Glacier Care Center in Cut Bank. She was born
Sept. 1, 1920, in Big Sandy, Montana, the daughter of Clarence
and Cora (Duckering) Hunt. She attended grade school at Sunburst
Mountain and high school in Townsend.
During WWII June was a “Rosie the Riveter,” one of a group of
ladies who worked on airplanes to aid the war effort. On March
5, 1952 she married Harold Kutt in Great Falls.
She worked in a bakery in Great Falls and in Cut Bank, but what
she loved the most was being a wife and a mother. She loved
playing bingo, card games of any kind; she loved to cook and
going dancing, and she could shop, shop, shop.
June's love was not only at home with immediate family but
assisting other families and children or anyone who needed love
and attention. An example of this is June's sponsorship of
children through “World Vision.” She always defended those who
needed someone to stand up for them when no one else would.
Survivors include: her husband Harold Kutt of Cut Bank; one son,
Allen (Myrna) Kutt of Miles City; grandsons: Scott and Bart Kutt
both of Billings; one sister, Jeanne Simon of Montesano, Wash.
and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents. One
brother Jack Hunt and one son, Sam Kutt.
For those who wish, memorials to WORLD VISION, P.O. Box 70200,
Tacoma, WA 9841-0200, will be appreciated by the family.
