B. Anderson, 84, a housewife from Cut Bank, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2006
at Peace Hospice in Great Falls. Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Thursday,
September 7th, at the First Presbyterian Church in Cut Bank. Whitted Funeral
Chapel of Shelby is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Alan Anderson of Cut Bank; sons,
Stephen (Tink) Anderson and Jeff (Suzanne) Anderson both of Cut Bank, and Greg
(Elaine) Anderson of Midland, TX; six grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Anderson; sister, Gerene
Whitney; and a brother, Stan Knapp.
June was born June 13, 1922 at Seattle, WA to Ralph & Mae (Thompson) Knapp where
she grew up and graduated from high school and attended Business College. She
worked as a secretary for Pan American Airways where she met her future husband,
Alan Anderson, who was a pilot there. They were married December 6, 1943 at
Seattle.
June and Alan were transferred to New York and during this time Alan was serving
in the Navy during World War II. Following his discharge they moved to Cut Bank
in 1947. Her husband took over his father’s grain business, the Farmers Trading
Company, where she assisted with the secretarial duties. Their business also
grew into a farming and ranching operation. June was mainly a homemaker, keeping
busy raising their four sons.
June was very active in the community and a member of the First Presbyterian
Church. She enjoyed playing golf and being with her loving family.
