Lillian Joyce Hibbs, age 71, a ranch wife from Cut Bank, passed away Monday, February 6, 2006, at a Kalispell hospital due to natural causes. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 11th, at the First Presbyterian Church in Cut Bank. Survivors include her husband of  50 years, Roger Hibbs; sons, Wayne (Charlotta) Hibbs and Rodney (Darcy) Hibbs all of Cut Bank and Bob Hibbs of Granbury, TX; sisters, Hazel Johnson and Georgia Icenoggle both of Cut Bank; grandchildren, Jodi, Cole, Will, Jesse, Bobby Gail, Lee, J Dannie  Marie and Kendall; and great-granddaughter, Carsyn.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ronald Hoyt.

Lillian was born February 27, 1934 at Browning to George and Eva (DuBray) Hoyt. She grew up on the family ranch in the Del Bonita area where she attended grade school and later graduated from Browning High School. She furthered her education at the Kinman Business College in Spokane. Returning to Browning, she worked for the Sherban Bank for several years.

Lillian and Roger Hibbs were married July 16, 1955. She traveled with Roger on a seismograph crew from Browning to Corpus Christi, TX to Mount Pleasant, PA before returning to ranching. They bought their first land in 1963 and it grew from there. They moved to Cut Bank in 1993.

Lillian was an accomplished equestrian and a top notch barrel racer. She participated in the first Montana High School Rodeo in 1951 and received the barrel racing championship that year.
