Alan
F. Hermance, age 58, of Shelby, passed away Friday, January 20, 2006 at the
Marias Medical Center in Shelby due to cancer. His funeral will be 2 p.m.,
Monday, January 23rd at the Whitted Funeral Chapel in Shelby with
burial to follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Condolences can be sent to the

He is survived by his children, Mandie Hermance, Andrew Hermance and A.J. Brickel all of Sunburst; a sister, Ida (Bill Doughty) Petroff of Shelby; brothers, Arthur (Mary) Hermance of Yuma, AZ and Russell (Colleen) Hermance of Yerington, NV as well as nieces and nephews, Michael (Dawn) Hermance of Apache Junction, AZ, John (Cindy) Hermance Chewelah, WA, Robert (LeAnn) Hermance of Conrad, MT, Leslie Hermance of Yerington, NV, Alan (Lita) Hermance of Gabbs, NV, Bonita (John) Stevens of Fallon, NV, Donna (Dave Whitt) Matoon of Shelby and Diana (Brice) Kluth of Shelby.
Alan was born July 29, 1947 to Arthur F. and Lucy (Miller) Hermance in St. Ignatius, MT. He grew up in Sunburst where he attended high school. After spending four years in the U.S. Air Force, he began driving truck for a living, driving first for Elroy Skarderud and then for Dick Irvin Inc. for over 20 years.
He enjoyed vehicles of all types, especially Jeeps, and driving truck. But above all else, he loved spending time with his children.
