Helen Migneault, 85, a retired seamstress and cook from Shelby, passed away Monday, February 1, 2010, at the Marias Care Center due to natural causes. At her request no services are planned and cremation has taken place under the direction of the Whitted Funeral Chapel.

Survivors include her daughters, Darlene (Shorty) Henry of Augusta, Kathleen (Rocky) Davis of Seattle, WA., Connie (Michael) Rush and Michele (Dave) Miller both of Shelby; sons, Richard (Billie) Kohlman of Las Vegas, NV and Ronald (Lois) Migneault of Shelby; daughter-in-law, Grace Kohlman of Las Vegas, NV; and 28 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rex Migneault; daughter, Mary Romine; and a son, James Kohlman

Helen was born July 9, 1924 at Savage, MT to Michael & Mary (Meckler) Heick and grew up and was educated in Sidney.

Helen came to Shelby in the early 40’s and married Rex Migneault March 7, 1951. She was an excellent cook and seamstress.  Helen had worked for the Toole County Hospital and Star Cleaners for a number of years.

She was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar Society. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and especially sewing and had made most of her children’s clothes over the years.
