Margaret
‘Margo” Hasquet, 83, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at the Marias Care
Center in Shelby after suffering many years with Alzheimer’s Disease. Visitation
is set for Thursday, March 3, from 1-6:00 pm at the Whitted Funeral Chapel.
Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm on Thursday at St William Catholic Church with
the funeral mass to be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, March 4 at the church.
Interment will be in the Hasquet family plot in the Mountain View Cemetery.
Margo was born September 19, 1921 in Conrad, Montana to John & Josephine (Alzuri)
Hasquet. She graduated from Shelby High School and attended business school in
Spokane, Washington. After business school she went to work for Marias River
Electric Cooperative retiring in 1985.
She is survived by her brother Robert (Nita) Hasquet and sisters Geraldine Biggs
of Sacramento, California and Mary Jean (Jack) Wells of Shelby. Many nieces and
nephews also survive Margo. Margo was preceded in death by her parents, brothers
Louis and Julius, and sisters Amparita Simons, Olivia Whitney, and Irene Joyce.
Margo was a lifetime member of St William Catholic Church as well as the church
choir and will be remembered for her generosity with her time and resources.
The family suggests memorials be directed the Marias Care Center or for
Alzheimer’s research.
