Harold Fredrick Feller, 83, a long-time resident of the Sand Coulee area, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007 at the Marias Medical Center in Shelby, surrounded by his family.

Cremation has taken place, and a graveside service is planned for 1 p.m., Saturday, March 3^rd at Sand Coulee Cemetery.  Whitted Funeral Chapel of Shelby is in charge of arrangements.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.whittedfuneralchapel.com

He is survived by his children, Sandra Moss of Shelby, Robert Feller of Great Falls, Marcia Behrent of Centerville, and Fredrick Feller of Boulder; his two younger brothers, Harlen Feller of Great Falls, and Harvey Feller of Lewistown and his 12 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren who thought the world of him.

Harold was born on September 27, 1923 in Mayville North Dakota to Ivan and Nettie Feller.  He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1942-1946, on the Cutter Westwind, and on the USS LST-170.  He married Roberta Habel on November 5, 1948.  They made their home in Centerville , Montana .

Our family would like to say a special thank you to Ray McCaffrey and Cindy Hagen, not only for their friendship, but for their caring and assistance that went way beyond anything we could have ever expected.  Again our family would like to thank Sandy ; for her dedication to her parents.  We appreciate the time, dedication, and personal sacrifice to insure the comfort and constant care of her father. 

He was known for his stories that could keep even the youngest of heart entertained for hours.  We each have our own special memories that have touched each of us deeper than we even know.  Moments with “Grandpa Feller”, will be something that we all hold close to our hearts to always be cherished.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Roberta Marette (Habel) Feller, his three sisters, and two brothers.
