LaVerne Sinclair Crieger, 75, a retired Tribal/BIA dispatcher from Browning, died February 25, 2010, at Benefis in Great Falls due to complications following surgery.  Funeral mass will be held March 2 at 2:00 pm at the Little Flower Parish.  Rosary will be said on March 1 at Old Eagle Shields at 7:00 pm.  Her ashes will be scattered at the Birch Creek Ranch on Easter Sunday.  Whitted Funeral Chapel of Cut Bank is in charge of arrangements. 

Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Keller, Browning; grandchildren, Mark Keller, Jr and Debi Rider; great-grandchildren, William, Sonny Joe, Mekah, Jordan, Mariah, Aiden, and Brycen; sisters, Betty, Helen, Anna, Gail, and Junie; and brother, Galen.    Also surviving LaVerne are her honorary grandchildren, Jaylee Potts, Cindy Talks About, Keely Rides at the Door, and Kaitlyn Fisher.  LaVerne is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

LaVerne was born in Browning on July 5, 1934 to William and Clara (Salois) Sinclair.  She was raised in the Birch Creek and Browning area graduating from Browning High School in 1952.    LaVerne held many jobs during her lifetime and retired as Tribal/BIA dispatcher with over 20 years of service.
