Megan
Samuel Bye, age 73, a Registered Nurse from Kevin, passed away
Saturday, March 25, 2006 at a Shelby hospital due to a lengthy
illness. Memorial services will be 2:30 pm on Thursday, March
30, at the Kevin Senior Center. Whitted Funeral Chapel is in
charge of arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family

Survivors include her husband,
Eldon Bye; sons, Griff (Reenie) Bye and Scott (April) Bye all of
Kevin; sister, Joan Buck of Mt. Gretna, PA; brothers, John
Samuel of Edmonton, Alberta and Hayden Samuel of Red Deer,
Alberta; and 3 grandchildren, Samantha, Megan and Scott.
She is preceded in death by her
parents and brothers, Griffith, Tom, David, Eddy and Phil
Samuel.
Megan was born Nov. 8, 1932 at
Gadsby, Alberta to Thomas & Joan Samuel where she was raised and
educated. She then received her RN degree at Calgary General
Hospital in 1956 before coming to Cut Bank in 1958. She married
Eldon Bye on December 15, 1959 and they lived and farmed west of
Sweet Grass. In 1966 they moved and farmed south of Kevin.
Megan was a nurse at Cut Bank for
a time, she then worked at the Toole
County Hospital, where she ran the Blood Pressure Clinic which
traveled to various towns within the county. She retired in
1994.
She had been a member of the Kevin
Development Board and the American Legion Auxiliary. In 1983
Megan received to the Toole County Professional Women’s Award.
