Duane “Boze” Bull Child, age 49. of Browning, a program coordinator for the Blackfeet Tribe, passed away Sunday at a Great Falls hospital due to kidney failure.

A wake is in progress at the family home in government square where a rosary will be said at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Funeral mass is 2:00 pm Thursday at the Little Flower Catholic Church with burial in the Willow Creek Cemetery. Whitted Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements. 

Survivors include his mother Rowena Bull Child of Browning; sisters, Suzie (Joe) Spotted Eagle of Browning, Curlene Bull Child of Browning and Lawrie (John Sander) Bull Child of Pablo; nieces and nephews, B.J., Tweety, Noah and Hanna and numerous other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father and 1 brother.

He was born in Browning December 5, 1955 to John and Rowena (Old Person) Bull Child Sr. where he grew up and graduated from high school in 1974. He then attended the University of Montana and then the Haskell Indian Junior College in Lawrence, Kansas majoring in Business Law. He worked for the Blackfeet Tribe for some time to help coordinate various tribal programs. For the past several years, kidney disease has prevented him from working.

He was a member the Little Flower Catholic Church. Boze enjoyed playing keno, beating of the horses and was an avid sports enthusiast.
