Survivors include her sons, Larry ( Sharon ) Bonderud of Shelby and Roger (Joan) Bonderud of Ann Arbor, MI; sisters, Pearl Larson of Havre and Helen Larson of Missoula ; grandchildren, Karyn & Joren Bonderud, William & Kristen Metzger; and several nieces and nephews. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Earl; her parents; sisters, Beulah Landskov, Alvada Dow, Janet Larson and Kathlyn Larson; and brothers, Hjalmer, Orville, Ole, Robert and Richard Larson. Margaret was born July 6, 1921 on the family farm north of Havre to Ole & Anna (Hanson) Larson. She attended Homblock Country Grade School , graduated from Havre High School and attended Northern Montana College . She and Earl Bonderud were married on November 25, 1943 at Havre and moved to Shelby in 1952. Margaret worked at the Toole County Assessor’s Office and as a receptionist and bookkeeper for several Shelby professional offices. Margaret was a loving and caring individual who possessed a wonderful sense of commitment. She was s great organizer and a willing volunteer throughout her community. She was devoted to all her family and truly treasured participating in family reunions. She loved helping with harvest on the family farm and was a wonderful cook. Margaret was a member St. Luke’s Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School, Marias Valley Golf & Country Club, the VFW Auxiliary, Cub Scout Den Mother, and the Montana Republican Party. She was very active as a community volunteer especially at the Marias Heritage Center . The family suggests memorials be directed to the Toole County Education Fund or St. Luke’s Lutheran Church . |
