Survivors include is wife Judy Swick Scofield of Cut Bank; daughters, Cindy (Bill) Pearson of Broken Bow, NE, Barb (Russ) Langhorst of Aurora, CO, Janet Luthje (Chuck) of Arcadia, NE and step-daughter, Stephanie (Mike) Moran of Cut Bank; brother, Eugene Scofield and a sister, Isla Lindsey both of Burwell, NE; six grandchildren, Hans, Chesney, Luke, Seth, Courtny and Carter; and a faithful companion, his dog Sara. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eldon and Ed Scofield; and step-son, Brandon Firman. He was born at Burwell, NE to Aubry & Emma (Mach) Scofield where he grew up on a farm. During High School he excelled in football and loved to play the tuba. He graduated from Burwell High in 1959. In 1961 he married Mary Louise Wunderlich, they had three daughters and they later divorced. He then moved to Missoula and worked in a saw mill before moving to Cut Bank in 1985. He married Judy Swick April 1, 1995 at Cut Bank. There he operated his own trucking business for a time, D & T Trucking (Dirty & Tired). He then drove for Cenex and for Flying J. For the past ten years Bill drove for Harvie Hot Shot, hauling oil field equipment & moving drilling rigs. He was a member of the Cut Bank Moose Lodge and Legion. He enjoyed working, fishing, boating, camping, and being with friends and family.
