Erwin
Lyle Atwood, age 52, of Cut Bank, died Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at Benefis
East in Great Falls due to cancer. A celebration of his life will be held at 3
p.m., Friday, July 15th at the Moose Lodge in Cut Bank. Whitted
Funeral Chapel of Cut Bank is in charge of cremation and arrangements.
He was born Feb. 10, 1953 to Leigh Royal and Shirley Ann (Jones) Atwood in Cedar Falls, Iowa. They moved to Cut Bank in 1964 where he attended school. He later joined the Marines where he served four years before being honorably discharged. He then worked various jobs around Montana and Cut Bank.
He married April Louise Allison on Nov. 10, 1978 in Great Falls. They later divorced.
Erwin was always one to help out his family and friends with whatever they needed. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his sons, Randy (Brittanie) Atwood of Kalispell, Kevin Atwood of Houston, TX and Robert Atwood of Boulder, MT and sisters, Vicki (Bill) Sparks of Silver Star, MT, Brenda (Louis) Moench of Cut Bank, Rhonda (Terry) Lewis of Great Falls, Lori (Jerome) Atwood of Cut Bank and Cathi Schnell of Cut Bank.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bobby.
